Anna McDevitt, Executive Director

A Coastside native, Anna McDevitt first began working with children at age 15 as an after-school junior counselor for the Half Moon Bay Parks and Recreation Department. Prior to joining the Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside, Anna was a Site Director for Coastside Children's Programs at El Granada Elementary School. She also taught pre-K for Family Council and worked as a substitute teacher for the Cabrillo Unified School District for several years. Anna holds degrees in Early Childhood Education and Human Services-Counseling, and has a Program Director permit from the State of California Commission on Teaching.The mother of two children, Anna enjoys cooking, mountain bike riding, making jewelry, and salsa dancing. Recently she also started watercolor classes with local artist Mary Kay Jolley.

 

Caitlen Giacomino, Program Director

A life-long resident of Montara, Caitlen Giacomino attended Coastside public elementary, middle, and high schools before graduating from San Francisco State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Caitlen began her youth-oriented career by serving as a summer camp counselor for the Half Moon Bay Parks and Recreation Division, working her way up to become the much-loved summer camp director. Prior to becoming the program director for the Boys & Girls Club, Caitlen worked in the after-school program at Sea Crest School, a private K-8 school in Half Moon Bay, and assisted in teaching kindergarten physical education classes. In her free time, Caitlen enjoys walking her two dogs, Kali and Lucy, on the beach, surfing, snowboarding, playing soccer, and riding her bike.

 

Niles Carrington, Program Staff

Also a native and graduate of Coastside public schools, Niles Carrington spent his post-high school years traveling through Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia while working on agriculture and ethnic studies, and to Bolivia where he worked at with Capuchin monkeys at an animal rehabilitation park. Niles has been working with kids in a variety of peer counselor and camp counselor positions since he was a young teenager. In addition to his work with the Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside, Niles is continuing his studies at the College of San Mateo. He also enjoyes sports, video games, and many varieties of card games.
